French photographer and photoshop artist, Marc Loret, has enjoyed almost a cult status on the web with his artistic dreamy pictures of the world around him.
My work is all based around my photographs. It's in photoshop that I turn them into my poetic vision of the natural world.
When I got my first computer (13 years ago), I was curious about everything. That new passion even lead me to work in a computer shop for five years. Photoshop was a part of that process and I was having fun playing with photos or illustrations. It always fascinated me that some people were good enough to create a world starting from nothing. This tool is very powerful.
I consider nature as the main artist that inspires me, then artists that were inspired by nature such as Monet and Van Gogh. Other than that, I really appreciate oriental art, street art, pop art and land art.
It always starts with a long walk into Nature equiped with a camera.
I guess my favorite tool is the magic wand tool. My big tip is not to rely on the 'auto' tools. Your eyes must be the only judge if you want to be unique
As the possibilies are infinite with this program, don't give yourself any limitations!
They would be:
www.cfsl.net (french website with amazing artist community)
www.etsy.com (One of the best artist sites there is)
www.whokilledbambi.co.uk (Because artists don't think like normal people!)
I got some pictures as set dressing in a Hollywood movie this year and my last project was a set of postcards about the architecture in my city (Rennes, France).
Both these sites sell my work.
